Lab Facilities

Lab Overview
Our lab is fully equipped for conducting noise measurements. Our facilities include reverberation chambers specifically designed for testing the sound transmission loss of partitions and floors. We have three Brüel & Kjær (B&K) data acquisition modules with 3, 12, and 42 input channels, respectively. Our equipment also includes a B&K Impedance Tube (Type 4206), two beamforming systems with wheel arrays supporting 36 and 42 channels, and over 100 B&K microphones ranging in size from 1/8 inch to 1 inch. Additional instrumentation includes tapping machines (Type 3207), a mini shaker (Type 4810), an omnidirectional loudspeaker (B&K Type 4296), sound level meters, amplifiers, accelerometers, and more.
